Biggest red flag for nonsense health advice: "simple" Nothing in health is EVER simplepic.twitter.com/RBtudVFDix
If someone's telling you that they've got a "simple" solution to your health problems, check again Chances are it's bogus
That's why medical degrees aren't over in 6 months and doctors need years of experience before practicing solo. Because this shit is COMPLICATED
Next huge red flag: nebulous health claims If it isn't treating a specific problem, chances are a) you don't need it or b) it's total nonsense with no evidence behind it at allpic.twitter.com/Ija0eco9QY
What is liver health? What does "strengthen immunity" actually mean? There's a reason doctors use specific terms. It's because benefits are usually not weirdly general like this
If you're looking at a health claim, ask the question: can I pin this down to a specific benefit? If not, ask why not
Vitamin C is a great example: not much evidence it helps with anything except scurvy. So if you don't have scurvy, chance are you don't need to take extra Vitamin C
