I remember reading a re-analysis of that one "children of same-sex parents" study that noted one participant who was born of same-sex parents, aged 18, but also had a birthdate in the 1800s and responded 8/8 to every single Likert scale

I feel like the ~most basic~ check that I rarely see done is average time that it takes to complete your survey If it's 5 mins for your 400-question monstrosity, it's possible people are messing with you
