Apple cider vinegar has many health benefits but it is pro-histaminic. So, if you have lots of food allergies or mast cell activation disease #MCAD, proceed cautiously.pic.twitter.com/hNIChv5gEd

      Any data to support this?

Thanks for sharing, but blog posts aren’t really “evidence” right @AllergyKidsDoc @CaulfieldTim ?

No, they are not - especially when no references are included.

Of course, yes, I see, the allergists have conferred, you are totally right and I am totally wrong. How stupid of me to try to put out allergy information that I picked up from Dr Weil in my 2 year University of Arizona integrative medicine fellowship.

I did something called an ‘allergy and immunology fellowship’...complete with board certification and everything!

And of note, Dr. Caulfield is not actually an Allergist, but a Law Professor who specializes in debunking pseudoscience. No disrespect to your training, but evidence to date does not support "histamine rich foods" as actually contributing to allergic symptoms

Also probably worth noting that the evidence that apple cider vinegar is anything other than a decent salad dressing is ~very~ limited

Philistine! Vinegar on its own does not a salad dressing make!!!
