Interesting! I've had a few family members do a 'lactose-intolerance' test with their gastros, is this not a thing? I can't remember exactly what it was, but I think it had to do with measuring gas in the bowel after eating lactose

Agree lactose breath testing done under the supervision of a gastroenterologist is a totally separate thing to the likes of the widely available IgG intolerance tests for which there is no proven role.

Good to know, thanks! The other one that really gets my goat is the totally fraudulent "allergy tests" that require posting hair samples to a company that sends back total gibberish and a large fee
