Congratulations! You win the prize of knowing that the evidence for wearable health-measuring devices in chronic disease is largely negative!
That sort of information is critical for evaluating the validity of the analysis and conclusions, but it would be great if there was plain text summaries. PS I would love to have access to papers, but when they charge $40 or more for a single PDF........
I will! I heard about it just the other day elsewhere. I normally don't like doing things without paying, but the journals are outrageous and they keep research out of the reach of the general public.
Nah screw it. Sci-hub isn't just cheaper, it's better in every way. A single cut/paste and seconds later you're reading a PDF
Who is going to pay 40 to read a paper that may or may not be useful? Not many people I'd reckon.
I'm pretty sure it's a marketing strategy - either buy one paper for $40, or sign up to the journal for just $75! Also, if you can't find things on sci-hub, email the lead author. 9 times out of 10 they'll send you the paper
That's not quite as much as I thought it was. But to keep up with research in a particular field you'd need to sign up to many, and sometimes you only need one paper.
Pretty much. I don't think I've ever needed more than a few papers from a journal in a year so a subscription is a false economy
