Nah screw it. Sci-hub isn't just cheaper, it's better in every way. A single cut/paste and seconds later you're reading a PDF
I just looked at what was required-easy!
The journals are stupid really, if they charged a couple of bucks like music sites for do for songs then a sufficient number of individuals would happily pay it. I wonder how many sales of PDFs they actually get, given that the market is going to be extremely small.
Who is going to pay 40 to read a paper that may or may not be useful? Not many people I'd reckon.
I'm pretty sure it's a marketing strategy - either buy one paper for $40, or sign up to the journal for just $75! Also, if you can't find things on sci-hub, email the lead author. 9 times out of 10 they'll send you the paper
