Those who remember the eighties and nineties. Remember when “getting burgled” was a regular thing? And thieves would steal cam corders, CDs, hi fis, walkmans, discmans, things which don’t exist anymore?

I remember talking to a criminologist once who said that kind of crime was going because stuff is bigger and less valuable. It'd be a headache to take my TV and it's probably not even worth $50

Yes. And the technology which is valuable (iPhones) is hard to sell due to security protections, traceability

Or it's protected by proximity. Hard to steal stuff when everyone keeps their devices within hand's reach at all times
