I would imagine it depend on how heat stable the oil is, probably not good for omega-6 rich vegetable oils which produce toxic products when heated. For heat stable oils unlikely to be an issue.

Honestly not even. They just found that hot oil particles became airborne-you could potentially get a burn or something. But adequate ventilation should prevent all that anyway
