We've definitely a culture of "being right" which is how we are trained in biomedical paradigm. Hierarchy of science reinforces this.

For example, I think quant is very heavily tied into working out how much something will cost

But yeh, I think a lot of quant researchers prefer not to look at other methods b/c they are subjective and science is about "being right"
