Not a single article I can find has mentioned that the increase in hospitalizations was only .02%, again concerning but hardly calamitous

Instead you see headlines like "Taking pill causes depression" or "The pill is linked to depression" that talk about DOUBLE the risk.

Not that any of this is unusual for science reporting, but it's still a poor representation of the real risk of taking the pill.

Absolutely, my point is that reporting increases as 20-200% rather than .02-.5% makes the problem sound much scarier.
