Generally, as the studies get bigger and more controlled, acupuncture becomes indistinguishable from placebo.

no it doesn't. It is too hard to find a decent control. In pragmatic comparative studies it often does better than usual care.

I've read many of the Cochrane reviews on acupuncture, and almost universally they conclude insufficient evidence.

I've tried pretty much any kind of alt med you'd care to mention. But the evidence demonstrates acupuncture ineffective.
