I agree the evidence isn't there, but even if placebo fx,I feel better on them. Anecdotal....

But particularly for anti-ox there's decent evidence that taking after exercise is detrimental!

I hear ya. Seems the research vacillates between +\- every 5-10yrs. As does coffee, chocolate, red wine. My diet's not always great.

So with such a poor evidence base, why would you spend all that money and take the risk? Supps don't taste great, unlike coffee.

I'm honestly confused. If you know it almost certainly isn't helping and is potentially harming you, why spend a bunch of $$?

I honestly feel better &get "sick" less often. Purely anecdotal &some placebo effect, but I perceive a difference.

Have you tried replacing them with homeopathy pills? They're both cheaper and just as likely to have any health benefit.

As opposed to homeopathy, vits and minerals are actually required for many biochemical processes in the body. And deficiencies exist.

True, but the evidence for benefit of vit supps in the absence of a diagnosed deficiency is of the same level as homeopathy.

I totally get the comparison, &scientifically can't support my use, but w/my training routine I req to supplement my diet.

I guess my stance would be if there's no evidential support you probably don't require the supps to your diet.

It's a legitimate point. And I have no way to prove otherwise. I need to re-evaluate the literature and my supp regimen.
