The vitamin D study will probably never see the light of day because it's just a bit inconsequential - a guy padded his resume with dozens of fake preprints that were praised tremendously at the time by the Vit D crowd

In metallurgy we don't generally see people writing fake studies saying choclate is a better then steel for structural applications!! This seems to be a medical thing!!

Yeah, that’s what’s so surprising about Bret’s and other scientists’ excitement about a few flimsy trials. Are they completely unaware of the state of scientific publishing?? Have they not heard of the replication crisis?
