Maybe you misunderstood my question. I was wondering if their larger research record has worrying signs, on other papers and research, or if most of them are like Carvallo and Elgazzar, with fuctionally zero previous research record at all.

I'm just a regular guy here, so please excuse my ignorance. Wouldn't each publication be responsible for ensuring that each study published is not fraudulent? Who is the authority here? Is there no mechanism to validate these claims? What about the legal implications?
