I just literally read that study. I am not an expert but I can say it's filled with misinformation or outdated information. Another problem is that they cited studies that are actually just as bad or have been debunked with further studies.

Are you sure, you are reading the cough numbers correctly? I guess the authors should have written: the number of people with cough dropped by 40%, 63,2%, 61,1%...and a bigger drop should be better. (Stumbled over it as well when I read it the first time)

Another oddity of Ahmed et al: why were the patients hospitalized? Average duration of illness 3.8, mean age 42, some risk groups excluded per protocol. The insurance company should ask some questions.
