No one has gotten it yet, so a hint - these are reported as percentages
Health Nerd Retweeted Undafiend|Foundation
The winner here - most of the percentages in the follow-up columns cannot possibly be true, given the sample size. Either the authors had dropouts that they didn't mention, or something else went wrong!https://twitter.com/undafiend/status/1435466075550924802?s=20 …
Health Nerd added,
Really, isn't this just rounding? 7 / 144 = 0.0486111111
Nope - it might be rounding if they had given it with no decimal places, but if it had been 4.9% they would've had that. A better example might be trying 2.5% of 144
Yes, I was trying to calculate the Fisher’s exact test contingency table values and the 2.5% of 144 threw me for a loop
The “1st time frame” n is not 144, but also not 120 (for which the .0 and.5 values make sense). If it was 120, the p value for control dyspraxia should be 0.1516.
I cannot find a value for the denominators for which the p-values are correct, so I'm assuming that those are also wrong
Blergh. I hope this isn’t published? It’s like we need a step up from the Journal of Irreproducible Results. Maybe a Journal of Incalculable P-values?
