Nope - it might be rounding if they had given it with no decimal places, but if it had been 4.9% they would've had that. A better example might be trying 2.5% of 144
Interestingly the follow-up percentages reconcile if N in the control group drops to 120 and 96 in the experimental. As you mention they seem to have neglected to mention dropouts.
Shocking how easy most of these errors are to find. Don’t need any statistical training at all, just a 9th grade education.
