it looks as if they tested change of symptom % within each group. Have to check this with a calculator. Anyway, it's awkward to test that and not the difference *between* groups.
I genuinely don't know what tests they ran because even running chi-squared for the within-group differences does not replicate those values
Why? Just looks like an issue with the program they used for the table. The P-values were probably just very very small.
I would say the p values. Shouldn’t it be comparing the same time frame between the control and treatment groups? It doesn’t seem to be the case based on this table.
