I've never looked at flu vaccine data or prior years of VAERS. I assume VAERS reporting went way up because everyone was paying more attention this time around, they passed out cards telling you where to report, etc. But it's also possible the vaccine killed some frail people.

Your assumption doesn't match facts. VAERS got little press for weeks into the program only after most of the deaths were reported. When I asked on Twitter if people knew the reporting rules, not one person did, including doctors and nurses.

And, if awareness were driving this, we would have seen a bump in flu vaccines and other vaccines. We haven’t seen that - because those vaccines are safer. If the median experience with a vaccine is far worse, why are we surprised that the lethal end of the tail is much greater?

He claims its because of your limp dick comment - think he's a busy dude - though for my own reasons I wish he didn't block you and Avi - I was enjoying the burgeoning debate

That's absurd. We were just pointing out basic flaws with his inference, criticisms he quite frankly should have been aware of. Seems like he's just being an ideologue who avoids criticism from those who can actually deliver it.

He had a big debate with healthnerd the other day where he displayed a lot more patience and endurance - not sure what happened here. Maybe in a bad mood?

Lol did he though? He just said weird patronising nonsense at me then blocked a fraud detection expert who agreed to debate him for pointing out that his debate topic was a weird straw man

And this whole VAERS thread is wild nonsense. You would expect far more reports on any entirely voluntary reporting system if the basis of the reports was CONSTANTLY in the news, comparing it to past years just shows that people don't understand how these systems work

Yes you could argue you'd expect more - but it seems an a priori dismissal of the massive jumps in reports seems a tad irresponsible given the circumstances. Yes he definitely displayed a lot more patience in ur debate - he said he blocked Kyle for refusal to share the emails

Nonsense that's certainly not what he said. And it's not an a priori dismissal, VAERS is very carefully monitored. It is bizarre how people who have absolutely no idea how reporting systems work cry foul over complete misrepresentations of VAERS reports

VAERS was in the news when everyone was getting flu shots last fall. Why wasn’t there a big bump in flu reports on VAERS? Babies were still getting MMR shots. Why wasn’t there a big bump in MMR reports?
