Regardless of whether it is fraud, the study is transparently terrible. As I said, probably the worst cohort study I've ever seen
-
Agreed
. But I think it would be extremely impactful to the people that need to hear it the most, to have one (or more of you) on the DH podcast to have a rational discussion about this. Today's episode was the 1st time where I felt they would be open to that dialogue. - Show replies

Exactly! He should have asked for the data, and looked at the other red-flags BEFORE mentioning the study REPEATEDLY. And not ven "should" do it, folks who are good at evaluating evidence are EXPECTED to evaluate the evidence before using it to back up their point.

And he did not admit he was wrong. He said clearly it was an UPDATE. Was he wrong in taking IVM on air? What about admiting to that? And all the other points? At 31:15 he CHERRY-PICKS a paper to advance his pro-ivm position. Why never present the evidence against?

If someone makes a move in the right direction, the right thing to do is affirm that move rather than, in the moment, condemn them for all the rest. If no room for making small steps & trying to save face, then they won’t take next step.
