I know, the statistical software makes cool graphs. But ultimately if you wouldn't put the numbers into a combined mean/median, then the meta-analytic model doesn't make sense either

If someone says that a result is more robust because it's in a meta-analysis, imagine they were saying the same thing about a simple mean Does it still make sense?
