I love the optimism though that Australians when given some freedoms from restrictions will not immediately take the lot. The Doherty modelling makes great sense in a world where people will not just revert to normal 5 seconds after some restrictions lift.

Australias only option for the foreseeable future is binary. Closed. The Zero-COVID policy requires total elimination of active cases indefinitely, until vaccines are distributed. With a large non-immune society anything less than Zero-COVID gets ugly fast with Delta. Agree?
