I think it's fair to say that this review isn't very scientifichttps://twitter.com/GidMK/status/1423923138451034116?s=19 …

Wow, what a, uh, review. They cite the retracted, potentially fraudulent ivermectin study as fact, which gives you some idea of the thrust of this paper https://twitter.com/PierreKory/status/1423905770933047297 …

Your breakdowns are good. Learning a lot on how to read these papers. Have you looked at the ones for anosmia? I know correlation isn't causation. Worked for me and 3 others including 2 that had no smell for 5-7 mo. Results within 48hrs. It can't be coincidence ?

Here's 1 study Patients in the ivermectin group reported 50% less anosmia/hyposmia than those in the placebo group (76 vs 158 patient-days of anosmia/hyposmia). https://www.thelancet.com/journals/eclinm/article/PIIS2589-5370(20)30464-8/fulltext …

Haven't looked at them all, but the first one I've read and actually talked to Dr. Chaccour. The results are unlikely to be significant, they recorded loads of symptoms and while anosmia was different btwn groups most of the other symptoms weren't. Also, very small sample

Yeah need more.. how about this the total clinical resolution of the Anosmia or Hyposmia was achieved in 90.5% of the cases and a significant partial response of clinical improvement in the remaining cases.https://www.researchgate.net/publication/344468089_POST-ACUTE_OR_PERSISTENT_COVID-19_TREATMENT_WITH_IVERMECTIN_AND_ACETYLSALICYLIC_ACID_OF_PATIENTS_WITH_THE_PERSISTENT_SYMPTOM_OF_ANOSMIA_OR_HYPOSMIA …

Last one so far was this 2 weeks ago. It's hamsters but shows covid olfactory method of action and ivermectin. https://www.pasteur.fr/en/home/press-area/press-documents/covid-19-discovery-mechanisms-short-and-long-term-anosmia … I and a few friends so far have used it for anosmia. I know correlation isn't causation but maybe this is the right use for ivm?

Peter Pham Retweeted Dr. Carlos Chaccour  🦟 🔚 💊

Found his tweet stream on it . Interesting. https://twitter.com/carlos_chaccour/status/1351475987725352960?s=19 … @carlos_chaccour did you expand the trial? Any more thoughts on anosmia/ivermectin?

Finally, there is a marked difference in olfactory problems. Those in the ivermectin group report less anosmia and for shorter duration. pic.twitter.com/17Y58bQKH5

We did what we could with institutional funds. No expansion. Five large trials ongoing. Anosmia, you might want to check the EMBO hamster model from Institute pasteur for potential MoA.
