The best part of watching old episodes of House is my surgeon wife arguing with the TV: "That's the anaesthetists job! Why is there even a neurologist in the room??"

Regarding "e.r." I used to complain all the time about how ER docs seemed to be able to do every specialty (I recall ER docs doing invasive radiology in one scene, endoscopy in another) and while critically ill patients seemed never to go to the ICU but stay in the ER, intubated.
