Almost impossible - you'd have to transform the data to precisely match all of the reported values in the paper. It would be easier to convincingly fake data than try that imo

I'm suggesting that you could fake from the outset, but agreed, certainly easier to convincingly fake data or even just massage it a little. Statistical review is usually so weak that even this seems unnecessary, just walk the "garden of forking paths"
