From what I can tell, his health advice is good. But this is why it's not a good idea for public health professionals to weigh in on culture war battles. It saps credibility.

I care little for culture wars, but I do care about facts and evidence. Transgender and intersex in sport are areas where the evidence is regularly misused, and I've written about this before
