Actually no they did not. In the US, suicides did not increase overall and may have decreased by a small amount in 2020https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jama/fullarticle/2780436 …

Going to call bs on this,first it's only the first 5 months,and contradicts all studies about increases in metal health hospitalisation in youth,overdoses,self harm and other studies on suicide.
