How does that compare to Melbourne's numbers @GidMK? Just in terms of delta vs pre-VOC Covid-19 outcomeshttps://twitter.com/SharnelleVella/status/1419592999814590474 …

I was just checking it! When Vic had reached the same case numbers of their outbreak they had 72 in hospital, 17 ICU (approx July 13th, 2200 cases)
-
But this is all approx, more of Vic cases were diagnosed recently at that time, and not sure of the age distribution comparison. Also Vic probably had more cases that weren't detected at all... Maybe

Only have "current admitted" at the time. https://covidlive.com.au/report/daily-hospitalised/vic … peak 10th August 298 new cases 7,869 active cases 640 hospitalised 48 ICU 31 ventilated

So 44 in ICU in Sydney vs 48 at the Melbourne peak (they hit 700 cases/day!) doesn't look good for Sydney/Delta, although Melbourne was centred in aged care and younger HCW, neither which is the main demographic that gets admitted to ICU.
