I'll wait for the UKs Oxford PRINCIPLE trial results. With over 5k recruited and rampant Covid we're a great testing ground.

Thanks for the informative thread. As a layman, this was a bit difficult to unravel until you broke it down so succinctly. Why do you remain optimistic, given what seems to me to be a current lack of evidence in favor of effectiveness?
Not a scientist, but from what others have said, it seems like most of the studies were small and/or didn't do randomized control trials. It is still possible that a large scale rigorous study like the one oxford is doing rn, could be different
It is a wonder drug. Not for COVID-19 though. And I don't think we can expect wonders regarding COVID-19. There is still a chance it may turn out to have a decent benefit. But I am not very optimistic about that either.
