@BretWeinstein from my perspective you’re both talking past each other here. If you’re genuinely (at the individual level) interested in rational debate you’ll have this discussion on a Podcast. Since you’ve both got podcasts that shouldn’t be hard. Otherwise?

Science isn't conducted over podcast! Neither of us is qualified to even have an opinion on this issue. Seriously.

Science is a method, Claire. It works in forests, labs, classrooms, space stations—wherever it is applied. I’m an evolutionary biologist. That is not a requirement to have an informed opinion, but if you are going to insist on such a standard then yes, I am qualified.

You are *not* qualified to contradict the published research via podcast. If you are so sure of your expertise and the veracity of your claims then follow the normal scientific process. Write your hypotheses down, test them, & share your method with the world.

If
@BretWeinstein was serious about being honest, he’d have an epidemiologist on his podcast to discuss the evidence. Even@HeatherEHeying said she doesn’t have ability to critique recent Meta Analysis. Get@GidMK on there.4 replies 0 retweets 1 like -

I’m sure he would but it’s not like every type of scientist is lined up outside their home waiting to get on their podcast

Most scientists are not overly keen to go on fiercely anti-vaccine podcasts. What would be the point?

Discussion of nuance of evidence would be helpful.
@BretWeinstein and the@Covid19Critical make bold statements with no nuance. I don’t think they’re fiercely anti-Vax though. Being able to discuss good vs bad data is important.2 replies 0 retweets 1 like -

Well, I rarely listen to podcasts, but the twitter account certainly is fiercely anti-vaccine so I can only assume that the podcast is similar

A good take on trial design and quality is important in the Ivermectin debate. I appreciate your take on it and wish it was more widely discussed.
