80% vaccination won't get us herd immunity, but it could mean safely opening international borders https://theconversation.com/80-vaccination-wont-get-us-herd-immunity-but-it-could-mean-safely-opening-international-borders-162863?utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=bylinetwitterbutton … via @ConversationEDU

Yes and re language can we change to community immunity? A bit like changing "discharge summaries' to clinical handovers Language matters

Is "immunity" misleading? There's no immunity to infection that can be counted on. Best appears to be greatly lessened severity.

Until a stronger & smarter variant comes along that disregards our vaccines.

UK: 23% singly vaccinated but of those maybe a quarter with previous infections so about 70% with high nAbs & another 20% with either one dose or one infection along with many children. So maybe 80% of entire UK population with nAbs vs 64% of Australians given 80% adults jabbedpic.twitter.com/fDTCrCCZNP
