The difference is that one made recommendations that were referenced to scientific articles that supported the positions held, while the other simply stated things that were uncertain or untrue as fact with no references whatsoever

There may be differences in formatting, but it does not mean that one is wrong/pseudoscientific/bad and the other is right/correct/better. It just blocks any fruitful discussion if other views are labeled as pseudoscientific by default.

Making statements that are untrue as if they are based on evidence is the very definition of pseudoscience. There are obviously different possible approaches, but the GBD was a truly wild document
