The FIRST PARAGRAPH of the piece said "this is based on my assessment of one study, talk to your doctor and listen to them for individual health advice" I got an email years after publishing the piece from someone who'd read it and used it as ammunition to ignore her dr's advice

I replied telling her that if her doctor told her to stop taking ibuprofen, their advice was probably much better than the very general epidemiological assessment in my article. But point is, even though I explicitly said not to do it, people used the piece as personalized advice
