Here's the thing about home cooking.
It usually ends up being women's work
Most people don't like to do it
It's the only chore most people can afford to offload
It takes time, skill, & resources
BUT
It's really hard to eat well if you don't do it
I'm not saying there are 0 options, but eating apples for a meal, or pesto penne, or baked potatoes, gets very old very quickly

One can change meals without too much effort probably. There are 7 days a week, and, usually, 14–42 meals, but probably it's really necessary to "cook" at most 2 times a day, just repeating the core pattern week by week.

There are, e.g., a lot of variations of easy pasta (with tomatoes sauce, with pesto, with —not too much— cheese, with vegetables, with olive oil, etc.), rice, potatoes (even gnocchi), simple legumes, (preferibly whole) bread with some vegetables or with poultry meat, eggs, etc.
