Has anyone ever pre-emptively made an appendix that consists of all the things you already thought about doing but you didn't do and why, for no other purpose than preempting the reviewers?

Can you provide a link to this paper so I can see an example?

Yep here it is. One example is the Bayesian analysis of covid deaths that we didn't put in the main paperhttps://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s10654-020-00698-1 …

The econ way in my experience is more to do all the things anyway and put it in the appendix. ^ is more "we didn't do these things, we're not going to, and here's why."pic.twitter.com/viENxv79VT

I see what you mean. We did do that lol, I thought it was an econ thing
