What kind of observational or semi-experimental studies would shift the needle in your opinion? We only have observational data on parachutes: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC300808/ … (this clearly is not the same as parachutes, but I'm interested to hear you articulate why)

At this point, we are far beyond observational evidence. While 3 decent RCTs isn't conclusive evidence, it's still quite suggestive of a null benefit. To really shift the needle we need a large, well-conducted RCT rather than more of the same weak obs evidence
