What argument is this past-evidence take addressing exactly? Because it doesn't seem to be the argument around whether or not it's fair that Laurel Hubbard or other trans athletes are allowed to compete in sports where they may have a notable biological physical advantage.

Which of course, is the crux of the 'furore' you're referring to. Or if you're only specifically talking about Piers Morgan's claim that this particular instance is the start of a slippery slope, you should be way more specific about that.
