What hateful nonsense. The Olympics have been open to transgender athletes since 2004, yet this would be the FIRST TIME an openly transgender person has even competed never mind won a medalpic.twitter.com/3hIftGEesZ

Based on population demographics, all things being equal you'd expect somewhere between 10-20 trans people competing in the Olympics each time since 2004 So far, there have been 0 trans competitors
Obviously the slippery slope is nonsense, but I don't think it's as simple as you seem to think. I've thought about this a lot, as somebody heavily involved in powerlifting. Yes, she's a woman, but lots of women are not allowed to compete in women's sport, because of test levels.
I think it's fair to say that ANY female competitor who had had test levels as elevated historically as hers were over a period of years, eg through drug use, would face significant controversy over competing in a WADA-controlled strength sport. I don't know the answers.
That's how these people always operate. One occurrence - > what's next, all women athletes will be transgender in the future?
