So, I am looking at this paper from the @IHU_Marseille:
https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/33823281/
The paper describes 44 COVID-19 patients with a contraindication for transfer to an ICU. They were given nasal oxygen. One third of them survived. No control group.

With no control group, all we can say is that out of 44 people who were too sick for ICU (which happens, usually they are offered less intensive palliative care), 2/3 died and some survived

You miss an important point. In France, out of the IHU, patient who are uneligible to ICU and are in respiratory distress despire 02 support are often given Rivotril, generally until they die. Note : French supporters of Bik are also Rivotril defensors.pic.twitter.com/BmPg95ilFs
