My favourite part of the lab leak vs natural argument for COVID-19 is that 99% of people's opinions seems to basically come down to how much they trust the Chinese government

Where do you fall on this? If you apply occam’s razor there’s only one conclusion.

Occam's razor would certainly be that, since there are countless examples of pandemics started through natural means and none started by human interference, this one is almost certainly down to natural origins as well

Not going to argue, this is your lane. But I will say I’m surprised. We’ll have to revisit this in the future. My gut disagrees.

I don’t know where to start. The Wuhan Institute of technology is in the city where the pandemic started. They tried to blame it on a bat. That lives 1000 miles away and a wet market. There’s evidence they lock down the city’s surrounding it but not travel outside the country.

Bats travel a lot and there are tons of massive scientific labs in China tho. A popular story from the other side is that the emergence in Wuhan is evidence it must have been the CIA because the Chinese authorities would not have been so careless
