Degrees are much cheaper in Australia than the US, but mine was ~$40k (a modest government subsidy reduced the price I payed by 25%)

Oh except those are Australian dollars. In USD it'd be more like $30k with me paying closer to $25k. Also the government fully covered the cost with a no-interest loan that I'm repaying now

To be fair as well, this was now nearly a decade ago, the prices have gone up since. I think the current cost for my degree if I were to enroll now would be $50k AUD or ~$40k USD
