That being said, the idea that the ~teaching~ that universities provided was valueless because it was online is weird to me as someone who benefitted greatly from an entirely online course

I also did my masters online. However those classes were designed to be online. The main error for in person classes during the pandemic is that they kept the same model of teaching for virtual. Huge disconnect. My son hated it and I could see why.
