Why do you think that without vaccination "the infection getting pretty much every person at least one time"? Not all unvaccinated people get measles in Australia do they? With very high vaccination rates won't it be easy enough to stop most outbreaks in Australia?

Surely with the ongoing risk of variants we won't be disbanding our contact tracing teams for a long time yet?

Nice piece. It’s complicated. The US has lost 900,000 people, lost a school year and lost at least 40,000 parents. We should’ve been ramping up vaccine production from the beginning and not creating this scarcity and unfortunate trade-offs

Also, there’s some evidence we are throwing away doses from partially used vials, particularly in rural areas. Opening up eligibility may not impact global supply that much, at least I’m not convinced it will.
