Worth remembering that the alternative to unknown long-term side-effects of COVID-19 vaccines for children is the unknown long-term side-effects of COVID-19 infection for children, which are not unlikely to be worse

It was a smart use of words. If he said 'likely' he'd have been jumped on for fear-mongering. I think the message gets across just as well.

I'm going to go out on the sturdiest limb here and say...the long-term impacts of infection are far worse than vaccine.

What data informs your prior for "not unlikely to be worse"?

Good step for team vaccine acknowledging they are unlikely to have enough data to conclude its good to have all child vaccinated

Lets also keep in mind that vaccine is not the only treatment and that we might see more and more efficient ones coming and impending this analysis too. And kids don't have 100% to get covid when they have to the jab when heading for it!

I really can't see any reason to not vaccinate at least the oldest of them. We know that thousands of them will develop long covid if they aren't vaccinated. Long Covid is a fact. Long term side effects is pure speculation (RNA breaks down fast in the body) Lets act on the facts
