On point 1, I think we need to just be sure vaccines prevent long covid as this is the key risk as far as children as individuals go. There might be a broader point about 'the good of society' - but that might come at the risk of the individual so would be an ethics debate.

They do. We already know this. Because: long covid (even in children) is caused by covid. Vaccines prevent covid. Therefore, vaccines prevent long covid.

No ! In Israel, as vaccinations went up in adults, infections went down in kids. Vaccinations protects adults and slows transmission, driving infections down in kids. Vaccinated adults protect kids Vaccinated kids protect...

...Other kids. There are children (and adults) who can't mount an antibody response to vaccines. These can only be protected by vaccinating those around them. Plus many adults are refusing to get vaccinated, including teachers and nurses who interact with kids.
