Same thing happened in that cdc mask study. Older people were already masking when most mandates went into effect.

This is interesting. When I reported about genomic surveillance, a friend asked: but why does it matter, if we’re unlikely to see more SIP orders or mask mandates? But maybe keeping people informed is enough without rules to enforce behavior.
