I wonder what primarily motivated this article. Is it the fear of #COVID19 vaccine success undermining #zerocovid, of UK Conservatives benefiting from vaccine efficacy, or a puritan dislike of youth enjoying themselves (as the photo below might suggest).https://bylinetimes.com/2021/04/26/vaccines-versus-variants-the-vital-flaw-in-johnsons-covid-roadmap/ …

I know it’s not your point, but this article took a lot of criticism for claiming that vaccination increased the chance of mutations. Which I don’t think is true, chance of mutation is directly correlated with transmission, is that right ?
-
I didn't see that in the article; it seems to me it says mutations can still arise while population is only partially vaccinated. (Also, ZC and vaccines are mutually helpful!)

I wish I lived there or in NZ as well. Still, good to take Devan Sinha’s analysis into consideration - weighty arguments there:https://twitter.com/DevanSinha/status/1387828825061564422 …

The insistence of repainting zeroCovid as a lockdown extremist stance is necessary to avoid considering how many lives could have been saved. I've seen some amazing "nothing else could have been done so it's OK" takes this last couple of weeks.

I get insulted like I’m part of this movement. Maybe it means I am.https://twitter.com/DrPieterPeach/status/1375225153236295681 …

It has been in Australia. I’m talking about the movement that this is achievable in the US or UK.

If we aim for zero, we will have a manageable disease. Until now it was unmanageable and caused a lot of pain

People from the movement still seem extremely angwy at Sydney so I guess we are not zero covid enough for them.

We’ve been letting it rip apparently (this is not a rare opinion by any means)pic.twitter.com/HUZ5x0tEXn

Not for the 36000 Australians still stuck abroad who can't go home because they're not tennis players it's not.
