You’re asking me to prove a negative. “I’m not saying it’s definite” LOL, India is a country of over 1 billion people. Maybe you figured this out before their top scientists did? It’s an apocalyptic doomsday theory that you should have actual evidence of before suggesting

I'm asking you to prove nothing. I've posited two potential scenarios, one of which you dislike but can provide no evidence against whatsoever besides insults. Without facts, it's just your opinion

Also, of course, with vaccines it is not an "apocalyptic doomsday scenario" but merely one possibility that is hard to discount, given the evidence at hand

No. It has apocalyptic inferences with vaccines too. It’s easy to discount because there’s no evidence of it. Just you on Twitter

Ok, well you're entitled to your own opinion, but let's just say I find it very easy to discount as well

That’s fine, my thoughts on this aren’t hurting people, while yours may we’ll be. That’s the huge difference and is widely applicable to both of our methods generally

Sounds like more of your opinions there. I'm more interested in facts

“I’m interested in facts” and “I’ve posited two potential scenarios” don’t jive so well. The real question IMO is why do you feel the need to discuss this on a public forum of non-academics? Sowing fear/sensational ideas proven to get more followers & reactions on social media

Am I sowing fear? I literally asked if people could think of other explanations than the two I've seen bandied around, I'm very interested in what people have to say (when they're not just insulting me)

Academic discourse is great. Not amongst crowdsourcing epi theories on Twitter. The psychological harms are real and people are scared. Most don’t read your tweets and think, “let’s discuss further” or “shall we consider this theory?”

A dozen or so people did exactly that! I've had some very interesting discussions, this thread notwithstanding. That being said, I don't think it's possible to read about the situation in India right now and not be a bit worried

When you click on analytics, what is the impressions count (denominator to your dozen)?
