We’ve been skeptical of exercise’s role in wt loss for years. Almost finished with @HermanPontzer’s Burn, and am now convinced. So a question for y’all - how do we feel about taking exercise out of weight loss interventions completely?

I think for specifically managing weight loss we can completely stop talking about it. But GPs should absolutely always be talking about exercise, both strength and cardio, as being very important for health.

Good question. I would add “who should decide?” Re: exercise for weight loss or maintenance - the evidence is unlikely to be of high quality (certainty)/difficult to implement due to heterogenous interventions.
