Our MPH epi class did a full takedown of the Wakefield paper - super fun, and everyone gawked at how bad it was. Also our implementation/M&E class brought in speakers to talk about "we went here and did a thing - failed hard, here's our lessons learned..."

I had my stats students dissect Gautret's atrocious hydroxychloroquine paper last spring. They learned so much how to detect bullshit. It was glorious! (Happy to share my lecture notes if anyone wants to use it.)

I remember going over a paper in a lab class and the incredible joy and excitement that I felt when I realized that the authors weren’t even really invested in the research, but in fact were just doing it as a proof of concept for their companies newest sequencing technology
